Sara Yelton is an Associate attorney for Arckey & Reha, LLC. Sara's practice is dedicated primarily to handling all facets of employment law. She works with individuals who have experienced discriminatory treatment and or retaliation on the basis of sex, race, religion, age or disability under federal statutes including Title VII, the ADA, the ADEA, FMLA, as well as the Colorado Anti-Discrimination Act and assists companies with statutory compliance. Her work extends to resolving wage disputes relating to unpaid wages and commissions and overtime requirements. She is also adept at handling matters concerning unfair competition, including non-compete agreements and trade secrets. In addition to litigation and negotiations of employment-related matters, she counsels individuals and companies on employment-related issues.
Sara was born in Glasgow, Scotland and grew up in the state of North Carolina. After attending the University of Colorado for her undergraduate degree, she has remained in Colorado. She completed her undergraduate degree in Journalism at CU in 1996, and moved to Vail, CO to work for a newspaper and enjoy the mountain life. After that, she moved back to Boulder, CO, and worked for a public relations firm. In 2002, she began law school. At law school, she participated in moot court, achieving second place in the Barrister's Cup appellate competition. Sara was also a Survey Editor of the Denver International Journal of Law and Policy and an editor of the student newspaper, The Writ. She interned for Judge Timothy L. Fasing in the Arapahoe County District Court.
Sara Yelton obtained her law degree from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law in 2005. Prior to becoming an associate at Arckey & Reha she gained experience in worker's compensation and family law.
